Day two of Aubfest, featuring a lot of the main attractions of the weekend, began and ended in most memorable ways for a music festival worth celebrating.
Aubfest is a small music festival here in Auburn, AL, organized by college students and taking place every semester since Fall 2022. Local artists and musicians are featured throughout a two day run, where concrete meets dirt and community thrives.
Fall is here again and with it brings (hopefully) cooler weather, new faces around town, and Auburn’s premier music festival once again. But for those of us who are new to the area, or even those who want to know what all the fuss is about, what is Aubfest?
The Gin Blossoms made the Gogue Performing Arts Center their home during their show on September 11. The well-worn band put on a tight and no-frills performance, rolled through their hits and surprised the audience with a couple of tasty covers.
The evening of September 19, 2025 brought music and local cheer to the John Emerald Distillery in Opelika, Alabama. Lawndog, Another Michael and Boyscott played the cozy stage in an event supporting Aubfest, a local music and arts festival taking place this week.

AUBURN, AL. — The Gogue Performing Arts Center was buzzing well before the lights dimmed Thursday evening. By the time doors closed at 6:50 p.m., the lobby had already been filled with fans collecting free copies of Gabrielle Zevin’s novel "Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" and stress toys shaped like video game controllers. The event, “Community in Gaming: An Evening with Matthew Mercer,” drew a strikingly diverse crowd of children, college students, and older fans, united by their enthusiasm for tabletop role-playing games and one of its most recognizable voices.

On September 9, I had the privilege of attending Samia’s concert in Birmingham, AL. I had never been to Birmingham before so, the concert venue, Saturn, was a charming first glimpse into the quaint city. During the day it serves as a café, and at night, it transforms into a comfortable space-themed bar and concert venue. The exposed brick and colorful, psychedelic lights create a very unique atmosphere that makes it hard not to want to come back for more.
This past Friday, Men I Trust and Strongboi took the stage at Coca Cola Roxy in Atlanta and brought their ethereal dreampop sounds to of thousands of eager listeners.
Amidst fog, cozy surroundings, a cheerful crowd, and smells of fresh coffee and baked goods, Coffee Mafia lit up with the music of Weary Pursuit and Lawn Dog.
ATLANTA — In a haze of fog, strobing lights and Spanish moss, Ethel Cain transformed The Eastern on Aug. 28 into a haunted Southern Gothic dreamscape for her "Willoughby Tucker Forever" tour.
