Ahead of Saturday's match up, we dive into the series history between Auburn and Kentucky, who first played against each other in 1934. Since then, the Wildcats and Tigers have played a total of 33 times.
In the Malzahn era, season openers have been a sort of mixed bag for Auburn. The Tigers have had some success but they have also had their share of problems, particular on the offensive side of the ball.
Auburn is currently an eight point favorite over Kentucky. If Auburn was allowed to pack Jordan-Hare with fans, there is no way the game would stay that close in my opinion. However, the combination of an eleven o'clock start and limited fan attendance will likely negate most of Auburn's homefield advantage. I still am going with the Tigers in a relatively close game.
