Auburn fails to complete sweep falling in season finale to Alabama

·

Auburn (26-26, 8-22) failed to complete the series sweep of No. 21 Alabama (33-21, 13-7) losing the finale 12-5 on Saturday. While not completing the series, the Tigers still took the series from the Tide to finish the season on a high note. Of course, that is not to say a sweep would not have made the series win even sweeter, but the Tigers could not hold Alabama's bats quiet in game three.

Auburn looks to cap season with Iron Bowl series win

Auburn (25-25, 6-21) will host No. 21 Alabama (32-19, 12-15) for a three-game series beginning Thursday to close out the season. No one around the Auburn program is hiding the fact that the season has not faired the way anyone hoped, but this weekend's series gives the Tigers the chance to end the year on a high note. Winning the greatest rivalry, no matter the sport will always make fans forget much of what else occurred during the season.

Auburn downs Missouri behind hot bats

Auburn (24-25, 5-21) beat Missouri (22-29, 8-18) 12-2 Saturday afternoon to even up the series with game three set for Sunday. Coming off scoring eleven runs in Friday night's loss, Auburn's offense stayed leading to the victory in game two.

Six run seventh not enough as Auburn falls to Missouri

Auburn (23-25, 4-21) was defeated by Missouri (22-28, 8-17) 12-11 Friday night in game one of the three-game series. The game had plenty of offensive fireworks and went back and forth throughout the night. Auburn took a six-run lead after a big seventh inning but ultimately was not enough to win on Friday night.

Auburn playing for pride at Missouri

All but officially eliminated from a spot in the post-season, Auburn (23-24, 4-20) will head to Columbia to take on Missouri (21-28, 7-17) in the second to last series of the season. The season has failed to go the way anyone would have hoped and there are various reasons why, but diving into that can be saved for another time. Auburn's focus is on finishing the season with pride.

Watts's strong outing not enough as Auburn falls to LSU

Auburn (20-21, 2-17) lost game one of the three-game series 5-0 to LSU (27-16, 6-13) despite a strong start from Dylan Watts. Auburn's offense failed to succeed, unable to provide any run support to Watts. After being a strength of the team most of the season, Auburn's offense has only scored five runs in the last four SEC games.

Auburn plans to bring postseason mentality to Baton Rouge

Auburn (20-20, 2-16) will travel to Baton Rouge this weekend to take on LSU (26-16, 5-13) in a pivotal series for Auburn's postseason hopes. It is not a secret to anyone that Auburn's season has failed to meet expectations. With so many returning players plus strong additions through high school and transfer portal recruiting, the bar was set high. Unfortunately for the orange and blue faithful, Auburn has struggled mightily in conference play. The good news is Auburn has a few more SEC series left to attempt to make a run.

Auburn hopes to recapture momentum at Ole Miss

Auburn (24-15, 6-12) will travel to Oxford to face Ole Miss (25-22, 3-15) this weekend. The series is the second to last of the regular season and it's now or never time for the Tigers. Auburn took the series at top-10-ranked LSU just two weeks ago but dropped the series at home to Kentucky this past weekend. Now the Tigers hope to regain the road magic of two weeks ago and pick up another SEC series win before hosting rival Alabama to close out the regular season.
