The Auburn Tigers (19-18, 2-14) had a rough game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs (24-14, 8-8), losing 8-1 to start the series and the second half of SEC conference play.
The Auburn Tigers spring football season ended excitingly. The final score was 28-27 with the offense beating the defense due to a clutch 58-yard field goal from Town McGough to close the game.
The Auburn Tigers open the War Eagle Classic with wins over the Louisianna Tech Bulldogs and the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. Against the Bulldogs the Tigers won 9-1 in five innings and against the Yellowjackets the Tigers had an impressive sixth-inning comeback to win 4-3.
The Auburn Tigers (16-11-1, 3-9) faced the No. 4 Tennessee Vols (28-5, 8-1) on the final weekend of March. Despite the Tigers losing the series 2-1, the Tigers ended the Vols 20-game winning streak by defeating the Tigers 4-1 in the final game of the series.
On the final weekend of March, the Auburn Tigers (15-9-1, 2-7) face the No. 4 Tennessee Vols (25-4, 6-0) where the Tigers hope to win their first SEC conference softball series of the season.
The No. 17 Auburn Tigers (14-7, 0-4) faced the No. Arkansas Razorbacks (18-2, 4-0), for their SEC home opener, and fell short, losing the game 1-0.
This week the No. 23 Auburn Tigers (14-6, 0-3), take on the current No. 1 team in the country Arkansas Razorbacks (17-2, 3-0), inside Plainsmen Park for their SEC home opener.
Tonight Auburn hosted its first-ever Quad Meet and put on a fantastic show from start to finish on all four events. The energy and atmosphere was electric, and it certainly helped fuel Auburn’s performance throughout the Meet.
Groundhog’s Day brings about a special meet for Auburn Gymnastics since this will be the first time Auburn has ever hosted a Quad meet in Neville Arena. The Groundhog’s Day Gymnastics meet will be between the Auburn Tigers, Temple Owls, Fisk Bulldogs, and Talladega Tornadoes, with the Tornadoes being in their inaugural season for women’s gymnastics.
The Auburn Tigers (14-7, 3-5) opened the month of February by hosting the #1 South Carolina Gamecocks (20-0, 8-0) inside Neville Arena for a game that was a tale of two halves. Even though the final score was 76-54, it does not mean that Auburn did not play well, and the game was not in contention from the start. The first half was extremely competitive, and Auburn was keeping up with the number-one team in the country.
