Broome puts up 31 in hard-fought victory against Georgia

Johni Broome logged 31 points and 14 rebounds as Auburn (25-2) took down the Georgia Bulldogs (16-11), 82-70. Despite a rough shooting performance in the first half, in which both teams scored less than 30, the Tigers kicked into third gear and put up 52 in the second half behind Broome’s dominance in the paint. This victory extends Auburn’s current win streak to four in a row.

No. 25 Auburn (6-1) defeated Wright State (2-2) 11-1 on Saturday afternoon to take the weekend series against the Raiders. Auburn mercy-ruled Wright State in the series opener on Friday, and Auburn picked up where it left off on Saturday with another mercy rule victory.

Auburn’s first SEC rematch comes against desperate Georgia

After a gritty 67-60 win in Neville on Wednesday, the No. 1 Auburn Tigers (24-2) look to their first conference rematch against the Georgia Bulldogs. The first time around Auburn escaped in the final seconds with a two-point victory, 70-68. The Tigers should expect another cage fight against a team that is fighting to stay on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.

Auburn gets its first gymnastics win inside of Coleman Coliseum against Alabama

The No. 11 Auburn Tigers (10-3, 3-2) defeated the No. 17 Alabama Crimson Tide (3-6, 0-6) for their first gymnastics win inside Coleman Coliseum. The Tigers and Crimson Tide had their highest scores of the season in the Iron Bowl of gymnastics, but the Tigers finished with 197.750 and the Crimson Tide finished with 197.350.

Auburn softball suffered its first loss of the season in the Rocket City Showcase, falling 5-1 to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Prior to this game, Auburn had won 11 straight and held a top-20 ranking; however, a strong showcase from Louisiana Tech ended that streak.
