Auburn outlasts South Alabama, Drew Nelson shines
Heading into the night Auburn (14-6-1, 0-3 SEC) had lost its last three games and were 1-5 in the previous six matchups. The Tigers were in desperate need to add another game to the win column against South Alabama and that is exactly what the team did, as Drew Nelson was able to lead the Auburn to victory by a score of 6-5.

Arkansas Cruises to 5-0 Victory, Sweeps Auburn to Open SEC Play
The No. 3 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks completed their three-game sweep of the Auburn Tigers today in Fayetteville, winning on Sunday 5-0, and dropping the Tigers to 13-6-1 and 0-3 in SEC play to begin the 2023 season. The Razorbacks continue their 13-game winning streak and improve their record to 18-2 with a 3-0 SEC record.

Short-handed Tigers fall in second round of WNIT
Auburn’s first postseason under head coach Johnnie Harris has come to an end with the Tigers falling to Clemson on the road, 56-55. It was a hard fought contest between squads, with Auburn shooting 42% from the floor and Clemson shooting 43%, but the Tigers of the ACC got one more clutch bucket than Auburn, securing a trip to the Super Sixteen.

No. 12 Auburn is set to face off in the SEC Championship after a strong finish to the regular season. The Tigers will face off against Arkansas, Georgia and Missouri in Session I this Saturday in Duluth, Georgia.

The rise of Auburn women’s basketball under head coach Johnnie Harris has seen some historic moments inside Neville Arena, and there will be another chance for that on Friday night as the Tigers(15-14, 5-11 SEC) will host a first round matchup in the WNIT. This is not the first time Auburn has hosted the WNIT, but this will be the Tigers first postseason appearance since 2019, and their first WNIT game since 2014.
