The Auburn Tigers (1-0) welcome the California Golden Bears (1-0) to Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday, looking to build off their impressive win a week ago against Alabama A&M. The Tigers dominated that matchup, winning 73-3, but Cal looks to be a much tougher test.

Questions remain as Auburn readies for the season

Auburn football is back. After a long off-season, or a short one depending on your perspective, Auburn will return to Jordan-Hare stadium Saturday night to host Alabama A&M in the season opener. Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze's first season ended in disappointment - finishing the season with three straight losses. What will year two of the Freeze era entail? We will find out the answer soon.

Auburn fails to complete sweep falling in season finale to Alabama

Auburn (26-26, 8-22) failed to complete the series sweep of No. 21 Alabama (33-21, 13-7) losing the finale 12-5 on Saturday. While not completing the series, the Tigers still took the series from the Tide to finish the season on a high note. Of course, that is not to say a sweep would not have made the series win even sweeter, but the Tigers could not hold Alabama's bats quiet in game three.

Auburn looks to cap season with Iron Bowl series win

Auburn (25-25, 6-21) will host No. 21 Alabama (32-19, 12-15) for a three-game series beginning Thursday to close out the season. No one around the Auburn program is hiding the fact that the season has not faired the way anyone hoped, but this weekend's series gives the Tigers the chance to end the year on a high note. Winning the greatest rivalry, no matter the sport will always make fans forget much of what else occurred during the season.

Auburn downs Missouri behind hot bats

Auburn (24-25, 5-21) beat Missouri (22-29, 8-18) 12-2 Saturday afternoon to even up the series with game three set for Sunday. Coming off scoring eleven runs in Friday night's loss, Auburn's offense stayed leading to the victory in game two.

Six run seventh not enough as Auburn falls to Missouri

Auburn (23-25, 4-21) was defeated by Missouri (22-28, 8-17) 12-11 Friday night in game one of the three-game series. The game had plenty of offensive fireworks and went back and forth throughout the night. Auburn took a six-run lead after a big seventh inning but ultimately was not enough to win on Friday night.

Auburn playing for pride at Missouri

All but officially eliminated from a spot in the post-season, Auburn (23-24, 4-20) will head to Columbia to take on Missouri (21-28, 7-17) in the second to last series of the season. The season has failed to go the way anyone would have hoped and there are various reasons why, but diving into that can be saved for another time. Auburn's focus is on finishing the season with pride.
