Auburn Soccer Drops Second SEC Game in 1-0 loss to No. 20 Arkansas.

After dropping their SEC opener to Missouri, the Auburn Tigers (4-2-4 SEC: 0-2) traveled to Fayetteville to take on the No. 20 Arkansas Razorbacks (6-2-1 SEC: 1-1.) Auburn would ultimately replicate their first SEC game by losing to the Razorbacks 1-0.

Arkansas would dominate on the offensive front taking 21 shots to Auburn’s six. Ultimately it was the Razorback’s Jessica De Filippo scoring the game's lone goal in the 54th minute, that being Jessica's fourth goal of the season.

Anna Haddock and Marissa Arias were both shot leaders for the Tigers with two shots apiece.

Despite giving up a goal in the game, Auburn’s Maddie Prohaska had a fantastic game finishing with six saves, and building her save total to 33 saves for the year.

“We battled hard tonight against a very tough team," Auburn head coach Karen Hoppa said. "I thought we were better than last week, so we will look to build on tonight for Sunday."

Ultimately Auburn will be looking to improve on their offense capacity as the Offense last year had a total of 26 goals scored through the first ten games compared to this year’s 17 Goals through the first ten games, of course, this is factoring in the stat inflating 9-0 win versus Southern Miss earlier this year.

Auburn will have their first SEC home game this Sunday, September 25 at 3:00 pm against the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels. Coverage for that game will be provided by WEGL 91.1 by Noah Phillips, Aidan Kowalski, and Daniel Locke.
