Heading into the night Auburn (14-6-1, 0-3 SEC) had lost its last three games and were 1-5 in the previous six matchups. The Tigers were in desperate need to add another game to the win column against South Alabama (8-13) and that is exactly what the team did, as Drew Nelson was able to lead Auburn to victory by a score of 6-5.

The Tigers started out strong on an 8-0 run, but the lead was short lived as No. 25 Auburn would go toe-to-toe with the No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers. AUBURN, Ala. - Fans heading for the exit before the buzzer sounded, a rare sight for any event at Neville Arena. This was exactly the case toward the end of the Auburn/Texas A&M game Wednesday night. From students lining up hours before the doors open, to the family spending a night out, everyone was stunned as the clock hit zero. No one could believe what had happened. The streak was finally over after 28-games. Texas A&M defeated No.15 Auburn by a score of 79-63 to hand the Tigers their first loss at Neville Arena since February 23, 2021 against Florida.

AUBURN, Ala. - Surrounded by a sea of orange, the Tigers had all eyes waiting to see if they could a compete in a ranked matchup against Arkansas after struggling through the first part of SEC play. The question being asked was surely answered right away. Wendell Green Jr. would collect the ball from the tip-off. As the crowd drew silent, the junior moved from the left of the floor to the top of the key where he would launch a three-pointer on the opening possession. He hit the floor as time stood still at Neville Arena where everyone locked eyes on the ball as it sore through the air. A roar of a tiger erupted from the crowd for what seemed like the first time in forever. Green Jr. would go on to make the shot and convert the four point play as Auburn danced their way to a 72-59 victory over the Razorbacks.
