Ole Miss came into this game off after knocking off the Georgia Bulldogs 85-68 at Stegman Coliseum in Athens, GA. The starters for Auburn tonight were K.D. Johnson, Jabari Smith, Allen Flanigan, Zep Jasper, and Walker Kessler. The starters for Ole Miss tonight were Austin Crowley, Matthew Murrell, Luis Rodriguez, Jaemyn Brakefield and Nysier Brooks. 

Auburn defense makes a difference in 65-60 victory over No. 21 Georgia

Coming into the game with a five-game losing streak, Auburn Women’s Basketball team came into Auburn Arena to face the No. 21 team in the nation in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry against Georgia. With a fantastic defensive effort in the fourth period and great performances from Honesty Scott-Grayson and Aicha Coulibaly, the rivalry game end in a 65-60 Auburn Victory.

The losing streak in Gainesville has reached 14. No. 2 Auburn overcame an anemic first half on offense to take a second half lead, but a barrage of threes late in the second half led by Tyree Appleby gave Florida a late lead and the Gators were able to get a last second stop to preserve a 63-62 win in the Swamp.

Suni Lee wins the all-around for the fourth consective time

The No. 7 Auburn Tigers traveled to Athens, GA to take on the Georgia Bulldogs at Stegman Coliseum. Auburn came into this meet off a 197.575-196.275 win against the Missouri Tigers at home in Auburn Arena last Friday night. Georgia came into this meet after losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide 197.475-196.800 in Tuscaloosa, AL at Coleman Coliseum last Friday night. In this meet, each team had six athletes competing in each event and they all had two attempts each.

No. 1 South Carolina dominates Auburn in 75-38 victory

Coach J and the Auburn Women’s Basketball Team traveled up to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks at Colonial Life Arena. Auburn came into this one after a 83-77 loss to Florida at home Monday night. South Carolina came into this game after 72-51 win over the No. 21 Georgia Bulldogs at Stegman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia on Sunday. 

Auburn Overcomes Slow Start Beats Vanderbilt 94-80

Coming off the news that the Auburn Tigers (24-2, 12-1 SEC) would be dropping in the AP Poll for the first time in three weeks, the No. 2 Tigers were hungry for the visiting Vanderbilt Commodores (13-12 4-8 SEC). Although the challenge was rough for the Tigers thanks to a near perfect start from Vanderbilt and a star studded performance from Scotty Pippen Jr., the Tigers were still able to pull out a 94-80 win thanks to a combination of great performances from Jabari Smith and Walker Kessler, and domination from the second half.

Auburn falls at home to No. 17 Florida

Coach Johnnie Harris and the Auburn Women’s Basketball Team welcomed the Florida Gators into Auburn Arena tonight for the 15th game and 12th conference game of the season. Auburn came into this game off a 68-66 loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville Thursday Night. Florida came into this game after beating Mississippi State 73-64 in Starkville Thursday Night. The starting five for Auburn were Sania Wells, Annie Hughes, Aicha Coulibaly, Honesty Scott-Grayson, and Jala Jordan. The starting five for Florida were Kiara Smith, Zipporah Broughton, Nina Rickards, Jordyn Merritt, Faith Dut. 

Back on Track

For only the second time this season, the Auburn Tigers were tasked with bouncing back from a loss following the overtime setback on Tuesday night in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In the friendly confines of the home Jungle, the Tigers had no problems getting another win streak started. Auburn used a 16-2 run in the first half to take control of the game and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the final 20 minutes on their way to a 75-58 win over the visiting Texas A&M Aggies. The Tigers remain undefeated in Auburn Arena and in regulation, as their only two losses this season have come in overtime. The win improves No. 1 Auburn to 23-2 and 11-1 in league play. The Aggies fall to 15-10 (4-8 SEC).

No. 7 Auburn victorious over No. 9 Missouri in Auburn Arena

The No. 7 Auburn Tigers hosted the No. 9 Missouri Tigers in Auburn Arena tonight. Auburn came into this meet off a tough loss to No. 5 LSU in Baton Rouge last Saturday. Missouri’s previous meet resulted in a loss to No. 4 Florida at home in Columbia last Friday night. 

No. 1 Auburn suffers first loss since November, falling to Arkansas 80-76

The No. 1 ranked Auburn Tigers traveled up to Fayetteville, Arkansas tonight to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks at Bud Walton Arena. The Tigers came into this contest after surviving a scare against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on Saturday, winning 74-72. Arkansas came into this one after knocking off Mississippi State at home on Saturday, winning 63-55. The starting five for Auburn tonight were K.D. Johnson, Wendell Green JR., Allen Flanigan, Jabari Smith, and Walker Kessler. Auburn was once again missing starting point guard Zep Jasper. The starters for Arkansas were Stanley Umude, JD Notae, Toney Au’diese, Trey Wade, and Jaylin Williams. The Tigers were looking to extend the longest winning streak in the country to 20 games.

No. 6 Auburn falls to No. 8 LSU 197.975-197.750

The No. 6 Auburn Tigers traveled down to Baton Rouge, LA this weekend to compete against the No. 8 LSU Tigers at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Auburn came into this meet after a convincing victory over Alabama at Auburn Arena last Friday night. The Tigers took down the Crimson Tide 197.525-197.125. LSU also came into this meet after a win. They defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens, GA last Friday Night by a score of 196.850-196.100. 

Just Enough to Win

With the game on the line, Auburn turned to the shortest player on the floor to make the clutch shot. Noah Baumann missed a three with 13 seconds to play which would have given Georgia the lead and then Wendell Green, Jr. went coast-to-coast following a Walker Kessler defensive rebound and made a tough layup with 3.6 seconds to play to push the top ranked Tigers past Georgia by a final margin of 74-72 and extend the Tigers’ winning streak to 19 wins in a row.

Vanderbilt’s Offensive Barrage Too Much for the Tigers

Playing their fourth game in seven days, the Auburn Tigers looked to continue their momentum from Thursday night’s monumental home upset of Tennessee on the road against Vanderbilt. For the first couple minutes, it looked like the Tigers still had that same momentum as they built a 7-0 lead; however, from there, it went south in a hurry for Auburn. Vanderbilt used a 22-2 run in the first quarter to take a double-digit lead, stretched their lead to 25 by halftime, and cruised in the second half to an 81-66 win. The loss leaves Auburn with a 9-11 record overall and a 1-8 mark in league play. Meanwhile the Commodores improve to 12-10 (3-5 SEC).

Auburn Dominates SEC/Big 12 Challenge with win over Oklahoma 86-68

For the first time since 2016, the number one ranked Auburn Tigers (20-1, 8-0 SEC) took on the Oklahoma Sooners (13-8, 3-5 Big 12) in Auburn Arena. The game took place on a historic day for Auburn Men’s Basketball as a banner was hung up in the southwest corner for past Auburn head coach Sonny Smith, and in a speech to the Auburn family said, “It’s a great time to be an Auburn Tiger.” The Auburn Tigers would prove him right in a physical game thanks to great big man play from Walker Kessler, and a first pick performance from Jabari Smith, taking home both point and rebound leader with 23 points and 12 rebounds. The combined efforts of Kessler and Smith led to a 86-68 Auburn win.

No. 8 Auburn defeats No. 9 Alabama 197.525-197.125

The No. 8 Auburn Tigers welcomed the No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide into Auburn Arena tonight for the Iron Bowl of gymnastics. Auburn got the night started on the vault, Alabama got their night started with the bars. After the first rotation, Auburn was leading 49.175 to 49.125. On vault for Auburn, Cassie Stevens recorded a 9.775, Sophia Groth recorded a 9.850, Suni Lee recorded a 9.875, Sara Hubbard recorded a 9.800, Drew Watson recorded a 9.825, and Derrian Gobourne finished it out by recording a 9.825. On the bars for Alabama, Lilly Hudson recorded a 9.775, Mati Waligora recorded a 9.800, Shania Adams recorded a 9.775, Cam Machado recorded a 9.850, Luisa Blancho recorded a 9.925, and Makarri Doggettefinished it out by recording a 9.425.

A Shocker in Auburn Arena, Tigers Upset No. 4 Tennessee

The Auburn Tigers entered their third game of what has been a long week and faced arguably their largest test of the season against No. 4 Tennessee on short rest. The Volunteers came in undefeated in SEC play with their lone loss on the season being to No. 2 Stanford. However, it was the Tigers and the Jungle who shocked the women’s college basketball world with a 71-61 upset of the Volunteers. Auburn improves to 9-10 (1-7 SEC) on the season, while Tennessee falls to 18-2 (7-1 SEC). Following the Tigers biggest home win in years, the Jungle stormed the court to celebrate with their team at mid-court.

No. 1 Auburn survives in a close one against Missouri, wins 16th straight

Bruce Pearl and the No. 1 Auburn Tigers traveled up to Colombia, Missouri to take on the Missouri Tigers this evening. Auburn took over the Number one ranking in the AP poll for the first time in program history yesterday after knocking off the 12th ranked Kentucky Wildcats at home on Saturday by a score of 80-71. Missouri is coming into this contest after an 86-76 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa Saturday Night. The starting five for Auburn tonight consisted of K.D. Johnson, Zep Jasper, Jabari Smith, Allen Flanigan and Walker Kessler. Missouri went with Javon Pickett, Jarron Coleman, DaJuan Gordon, Trevon Brazile, and Kobe Brown.
