Auburn, AL - Coming off a disappointing season where the Auburn Tigers went 10-18, dropping eight of the last nine games, Coach Johnnie Harris looks to lead the Tigers to victory in a highly anticipated season. The Auburn women’s basketball team gave us a first look into what the upcoming year could entail by facing off against the highly rated Division II Tuskegee Golden Tigers. Despite a valiant effort from Tuskegee, Auburn was able to come out victorious 81-59 at Neville Arena.

Coming off a historic season that saw Auburn go to yet another NCAA Tournament, the Tigers returned to Neville Arena to play host to the University of Alabama-Huntsville in an exhibition game. When all said and done, the Tigers were too much for the Chargers, winning by a score of 87-69.

Lane Kiffin inherited a disastrous situation at Ole Miss, and the Rebels are 12-2 in their last 12 games, ranked No. 9 nationally. Bryan Harsin inherited a team with a winning record, and he is 9-12 through 21 games. Sam Pittman at Arkansas and Brian Kelly at LSU are more of the same, and just more of a reason to fire Harsin after a difficult two years. .

The Auburn Tigers (6-4-5, SEC: 2-4-1) look to rebound against the Tennessee Volunteers (9-3-2, SEC: 5-1-1) after their 3-1 loss at Texas A&M last Friday. The three goals allowed last game is a new season high for the usually stout Tiger defense. The Volunteers had their four game win streak snapped last Friday against the LSU Tigers in a 0-0 draw. Over the past five games, the Volunteers have outscored their opponents 9-1, including four shutout wins.
