It was a long time coming, as the Auburn Tigers (20-11, 10-8) finally overcame its end-of game woes to knock off the No. 12Tennessee Volunteers (22-9, 11-7) on Saturday.
In a meet that had sophomore Suni Lee sitting out to rest, the Tigers could not keep up with the Wildcats on the road.
The No. 19 ranked Auburn softball team extended their winning streak to 16 at the Jane B. Moore Memorial Tournament, defeating Bowling Green State 9-1 and the South Alabama Jaguars 3-0.
Auburn (19-11, 9-8) will close out the regular season Saturday in a rematch against Tennessee (22-8, 11-6). It will be senior day inside of Neville Arena.
