Tigers set to face pair of winless teams

After a successful week with two wins coming against Clemson and UAB, the Auburn Women’s Basketball team travels to Little Rock, Arkansas before coming back to Neville Arena for a long homestand to close out the calendar year. The Tigers will play two games this upcoming week, with Little Rock and Alabama State on deck for coach Johnnie Harris’s squad.

The 5-2 Tigers have been led by veteran guard Honesty Scott-Grayson who has produced 15.6 points per game for Auburn. Scott-Grayson is coming in hot off of two huge scoring outputs, putting up 18 against Clemson and 22 on the road at UAB.

Senior forward Taylen Collins has also impressed for the Tigers, leading the team in rebounds per game with 7.3. Collins has already tallied one double-double performance on the young season and has been close to that mark almost every time out.

University of Arkansas at Little Rock

The Little Rock Trojans out of the Ohio Valley Conference have not yet found a win this season, as they sit at an abysmal 0-6. The matchup with the Auburn Tigers will be their fourth SEC opponent of the season, as they already have losses against Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Alabama.

The majority of Little Rock’s production has come in the form of Sophomore forward Faith Lee. Lee leads the team in total points with 76 on the season, and is also second on the team in the rebound category, averaging three per game.

Little Rock will host the Auburn Tigers at the Jack Stephens Center this Sunday, with tip off scheduled for 2 p.m. CT. The game can be found on ESPN+.

Alabama State

It’s a similar story for the Hornets of Alabama State, as they are also in search of their first win this season. Alabama State has faced its fair share of power five teams, coming into the matchup with Auburn having already faced Alabama, Memphis, SMU, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt in an absolute gauntlet of a schedule for the squad out of the Southwestern Atlantic Conference.

The game against Auburn will be the seventh road contest for the Hornets, having only played one game at home this season.

Senior forward Cordasia Harris has been a bright spot for the Hornets, presenting her opponents with a dominant glass presence. Harris grabs 6.2 rebounds per game on average, and is coming off of a 12 rebound, 13 point double-double at Vanderbilt.

Alabama State will be in Neville Arena Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. CT tip. The Auburn Sports Network will have radio coverage, and the contest can be viewed live on SECN+.
