The Auburn Tigers fall to LSU in 3-0 Sweep

Following a 0-3 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs on the No. 22 Auburn (12-9 SEC: 4-7) came back to Auburn Arena to play the LSU Tigers. (10-12, SEC:6-7) That ended in a sweep for LSU with the final set ending in a score of 25-17.

However, there were some silver lines on Auburns side like Senior Tatum Shipes getting 3 blocks in the game to give her the single season program record for blocks in a season previously held by Camila Jersonsky with the pervious record being 119. Tatum Shipes was able to surpass the record with 120 blocks on the year and with many more games to come in the season the sky is the limit on what that record will be.

Elsewhere on the Auburn stat line Rebekah Rath and Liz Reich are your kill leaders both with eight on the game, Jackie Barrett was the assists and dig leader for the night finishing with 22 assists and 13 digs

For LSU they came off a Momentum grabbing sweep on the 20th ranked Tennessee, and proceded to ride that win into another sweep in Auburn Arena. They were also able to grab a almost game stealing 13 Service aces making up around 17% of there points, on the night. LSU’s Kill leader was Kylie Kuyava-Deberg with a whopping 15 kills, there Blocks leader was 6-3 Junior Anita Anwusi with five blocks.

Auburn will be looking to fix things as there next game is the 4th of November with will be the start of a two game series at 6:00 pm in Texas A&M, the next time the Tigers will be back in Auburn Arena will be the 10th to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks.
