No. 22 Auburn hosts the 8-4 LSU Tigers.

After a 1-0 victory to the Mississippi State bulldogs Thursday night the No. 22 Auburn Tigers (9-3, 3-2 SEC) will host the unranked LSU tigers (8-4, 1-4 SEC) to the Plains this Sunday at 2:00 CT at the Auburn soccer Complex.

Auburn is coming off a 1-0 win at Mississippi State after a exciting game that’s only goal came in the 85th minute by one Sydney Richards that was assisted by Olivia Candelino and Anna Haddock. The Tiger Defense got their 1st Road shutout of the year, the 3rd in SEC play, and their 5th overall.

LSU on the other hand is coming of a 4-game losing streak including a most recent loss to Texas A&M at home 4 to 1 also on Thursday. LSU’s only goal also came in the 85th minute scored by Riley Dixon; however, the goal mostly came as a consolation prize as Texas A&M scored just three minutes later to put the Tigers back down by three. Looking at the defense for the Tigers gave up four goals on seven Shots on goal meaning the tigers goalkeeper, Mollee Swift had one more goal allowed than save.

Auburn hopes to continue what they did last year as they won 1-0 in overtime. The tigers hope their defense genius from the game as the tigers only allowed three shots on goal over not only the first 90 minutes but in Overtime as well.

Auburn will be looking to get more wins under their belt as they are only two games back from the team in first place in the West, the Arkansas Razorbacks. They will play at home on the 21st but before that the Auburn Tigers will play The LSU Tigers at 2:00 P.M. CT Sunday at the Auburn Soccer Complex and will be broadcasted live on WEGL 91.1 FM in conjunction with the Auburn Sports Network.
