The hiring of Tom Herman on Nov. 27, 2016 was sure to be the turning point in the program to get them back to their level of excellence that they had been used to. Fans had a reason to be excited about Herman, not only because of the man he was but because in two seasons at Houston he had a record of 22-4.
When it was all said and done after this defensive slug fest, the Tigers were finally able to say that they came out victorious against Georgia after a 1-0 win, snapping their losing streak.
