5-Star Cam Coleman flips his commitment to Auburn

Auburn football made a big splash on Friday afternoon when 5-star WR Cam Coleman flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to Auburn. Coleman is ranked the 7th overall player in the 2024 class, and the highest-ranked player in the state of Alabama according to the 247Sports Composite ratings.

Coleman stands at 6'3 and 180 pounds. He is an ultra-talented receiver with a next-level frame. He will immediately contribute for Auburn. Just this season, Coleman has over 1,000 yards receiving at Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama.

On the 4th of July, to the shock of the college football world, he committed to Texas A&M. Hugh Freeze and Auburn, however, never relented in their pursuit of the talented wideout. Their efforts would be rewarded. Nearly five months later, Coleman decided he would rather call Auburn home.

Coleman is the highest-ranked offensive commit Auburn football has ever had. When he signs with Auburn later this month, he will also be the first overall player in the state of Alabama to sign with Auburn since 2007 according to the 247Sports Composite ratings. That was before the Nick Saban era in Tuscaloosa.

Hugh Freeze has let the college football world know that Auburn is a force to be reckoned with on the recruiting trail, and he hopes soon to be on the field as well.
