Auburn Volleyball hosts South Carolina on Wednesday

The Tigers are 13-10 while the Gamecocks are 13-11.

The Auburn Tigers will host the South Carolina Gamecocks at Auburn Arena tomorrow night at 8:00 pm. Auburn is looking to improve to 14-10 overall and 6-8 in the SEC, and South Carolina is looking to improve to 14-11 overall and 6-9 in the SEC. Both teams have struggled to find success this season, but they have not been the worst. Auburn is currently sitting in ninth place in the SEC, while South Carolina is sitting at 11th place.  

Your players to watch for the Auburn Tigers are Rebekah Rath (Outside Hitter), Liz Reich (Opposite Hitter), and Bella Rosenthall (Defensive Specialist/Libero). Rath has started every match this season. She has 451 points on the year, 384 kills, 13 aces, 25 service aces. Reich has also started every match this season. She has 269.5 points on the year, 245 kills, and three assists. Lastly, Bella Rosenthall has played a big role in the success that Auburn has had this season. She has also started every match this season and has done an excellent job in the floor general type role. She has 434 digs on the year. 

Your players to watch for the South Carolina Gamecocks are Kyla Manning (OH/LS), Lauren McCutcheon (OH/LS), and Riley Whitesides (OH/LS). Manning has been very good offensively this year as she leads the Gamecocks in points with 341.5. She has 296 kills, 17 assists, and 20 saves. McCutcheon has also made some noise for South Carolina this season. She has recorded 254.5 points, 194 kills, 20 assists, and 26 saves. Whiteside has also done a lot for the Gamecocks so far this season. She has 235 points, 208 kills, 16 assists, and 15 saves. 

South Carolina is fifth in the SEC in hit percentage at .253, Auburn is 10th at .213. Auburn is second in the SEC in blocks with 231.5, South Carolina is in eighth place with 199. Auburn is also second in the SEC in digs with 1454, South Carolina is bringing up the back of the conference in digs with 1042.
