Auburn headed to the Music City Bowl to face Purdue

After a 7-5 season, Auburn will be making its sixth consecutive post-season appearance against the 6-6 Purdue Boilermakers.

It was announced on Selection Sunday that the Tigers would be headed to Nashville on Friday, Dec. 28 at 12:30 p.m. CST at Nissan Stadium. The game will be televised live on ESPN.

In a season that did not meet expectations on The Plains, Coach Malzahn stated that he looks forward to enjoying the bowl experience while working to send the seniors out with a victory.

Purdue and Auburn are two teams that have seen their seasons go in different directions. The Boilermakers started the season 0-3 but turned it around by upsetting three ranked opponents including the then ranked No. 2 Ohio State.

Auburn on the other hand was ranked at No. 7 after the third week of the year but fell off really quick after losses to Mississippi State and Tennessee.
