AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn welcomed the eighth-ranked Kentucky Wildcats to Plainsman Park for the first of a three-game weekend series, fresh off the back of a head-scratching midweek loss to Alabama State. Unfortunately, Auburn’s luck didn’t change as they fell to Kentucky 6-5 in yet another close game.

AUBURN, Ala. – After a long offseason, the Auburn Tigers finally took the field at Jordan-Hare stadium for the first time in 2024, this time for the annual A-Day spring game. After many questions through the winter about whether the offense could be improved, the early signs look encouraging, as they defeated the defense 28-27 on a last-second 58-yard field goal from freshman kicker Towns McGough.

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball was back home at Plainsman Park for another in-state midweek contest against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Despite falling behind early, the Tigers rallied and secured a 13-3 win by run rule in seven innings to improve to 16-8 on the season, with Jax State dropping to 9-15.

No. 21 Auburn (15-8) welcomes Jacksonville State (9-14) to Plainsman Park for a midweek matchup, the Tigers’ third-straight midweek contest vs an in-state opponent. Auburn comes into the matchup off the back of its first SEC win on Saturday over Arkansas, though the Tigers still lost the series 2-1.

After dropping the first two games of their SEC season opener, Auburn looked to salvage a win vs Vanderbilt on Sunday’s series finale. However, despite an early lead, the Tigers could not hold on, falling to the Commodores 6-9 to get swept over the weekend series.

Auburn baseball hit the road this weekend, following the men’s basketball team to Nashville. However, it wasn’t tournament action that awaited the boys on the diamond, but rather their SEC season opener against the Vanderbilt Commodores. It wasn’t the start to SEC play that Coach Butch Thompson and the Tigers wanted, though, as they fell to the Commodores 11-1.

Coming off an emphatic home win vs Alabama in what Bruce Pearl called “The most important game of the year,” Auburn will travel down to Gainesville, FL to take on the Florida Gators, a road trip that has proved to be a tricky one for Auburn and Bruce Pearl. Pearl is yet to win a game in Gainesville as Auburn’s head coach, and Auburn itself hasn’t won in Gainesville since 1996.
