Auburn Soccer Opens Spring Season Against KSU

After a 93-day rest period, the Auburn Women’s Soccer team will resume their 2020-’21 season at home tomorrow at 5pm. With an eight-game schedule in place, the NCAA has decided to continue with the 64-team tournament to be held in April in Cary, NC.

Auburn softball completes season-opening sweep

Auburn softball completed the 3-game sweep of Southeast Missouri State to open its season on Sunday, advancing to 3-0 for the first time since 2018. Behind freshman pitcher Maddie Penta and a three-run fourth, the Tigers secured a 3-1 victory.

Auburn Moves Ahead with New Football Facility

College football is a competitive landscape - whether it be on the field, recruiting trail, or in building the most spectacular facilities for their players to make use of.  While Auburn's last season did not measure up to the competition around them, there is no doubt the planned new football only facility can compete with any facility in the country.

Auburn Men’s Basketball Holds on Late Despite Early Sloppy Play

Coming into tonight’s matchup, Auburn had only one win in the past 11 meetings with the Commodores in the Music City. Despite a low scoring very sloppy first half, the visiting Tigers found a new gear in the second lead by Sharife Cooper with 18 of Auburn’s 50 points. It was a very physical night at the Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, but the Tigers held on 73-67 in a high scoring second half.

Just a Little Short

For much of the afternoon, it seemed like Auburn was in control against Ole Miss.  However, Ole Miss rallied from a 14 point second half deficit against Auburn to force overtime and then won the game 86-84 on Davontae Shuler's off balance jumper with 0.2 seconds to play in overtime.

#2 South Carolina too much for Auburn Women's Basketball

 After being outscored 26-6 in the first quarter, the Auburn Women's basketball team struggled to complete the comeback against #2 South Carolina at home. In their past ten matchups, the Gamecocks have had Auburn's number every time making tonight their 11th consecutive victory against the home team. Despite being lead by Redshirt Sophomore Honesty Scott-Grayson shooting 6/14 from the field totaling 15 points, the Tigers now drop to 5-12 on the season losing 77-58.

A Missed Opportunity

Auburn's men basketball team entered Tuesday evening with a chance to sweep the season series against the Georgia Bulldogs.  Despite a big night from Jaylin Williams, the Tigers came up short in Auburn Arena falling to the Dawgs by a score of 91-86.

Auburn Unable to Keep up in Fourth in Loss

Auburn women's basketball team got a big afternoon from Unique Thompson and hung around for three quarters but was unable to pull off the upset against number nineteen Arkansas.  Arkansas made 11 three point field goals in the game and used a strong fourth quarter to beat Auburn 77-67.
