Auburn baseball earned its first win of conference play this weekend on the road against top-ranked Arkansas. The Tigers have endured a difficult stretch of the season, dropping their first six contests and eight out of nine. Although Auburn failed to steal a series win against a premier opponent, the one win they'll be returning home with is enormous for the team's confidence.

Auburn dropped to 0-6 in SEC play this past weekend. The conference schedule has proved to be a different animal than the Tigers' non-conference slate that saw the team post an 11-5 record. In the first five innings of Auburn's six SEC contests, the Tigers have been outscored 29-8, digging holes that have been difficult to climb out of.

The SEC announced Monday their weekly honors and for a second straight week, Freshman Maddie Prohaska took home defensive player of the week. Pitching four shutouts in her last five games, Prohaska leads the conference in save percentage (.842) and goals against average (0.82). The Tigers are 7-5-3 this season with just three games remaining on their regular season Spring slate before the NCAA Tournament beginning Apr 23.

On Tuesday, Auburn freshman forward JT Thor announced his intention to submit his name for the 2021 NBA Draft going through their evaluation process. This allows him to sign with an NCAA agent to receive feedback and then if he wishes he may return back to school.

Two Auburn women's soccer players were awarded SEC recognition after their big win against Georgia on Saturday. Olivia Candelino was named SEC Freshman of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal for the Tigers and Maddie Prohaska was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week for her fifth shutout of the season.

With a 13-14 overall record, Auburn's rocky men's basketball season has come to a close earlier than most. There will be no postseason action on account of a self-imposed ban by the program, so the Tigers are ineligible for the SEC Tournament.

After a near perfect first month of the season, a ranked (#22) Auburn Tigers team heads into the weekend for their first conference series of the season. Unblemished at home, in-state rival and the fourth ranked Alabama looks to hand Auburn their first loss at Jane B. Moore Field in 2021. Riding an 11-game winning streak, the Tigers have been led by dominate Freshman pitching performances and clutch hitting. Friday does not mark the end of non-conference play but does the beginning of SEC competition.

Travis Thomas Sr., a former director of academic support services in Auburn athletics, filed a discrimination lawsuit in district court that claims Auburn University changed a football player's grade in 2019 in order for him to remain eligible to compete in the team’s appearance in The Outback Bowl that season.

Since the departure of Auburn one-and-done star Isaac Okoro last year, there has been a lot of discussion about the prospect of the Tigers’ star players leaving within a year of joining the team. With the biggest target of those discussions and worry being current Auburn freshman and star Sharife Cooper. Everyone expected Sharife to be a one-and-done after joining Auburn last year.
